Video of the week 9/21
This marks the beginning of a new era. What does that mean? Well, I watch a lot of videos via youtube, vimby, vimeo, and any methods of online video distribution and its getting to the point where I’m hardly entertained by most of what’s out there. So my plan is to give you guys the most entertaining and/or interesting videos I can find. Some might be a little vintage but work with me.
Tribute to his airness
Let’s be truthful, Mike had the greatest career in the NBA thus far. As Hov put it, “men lie, women lie, but the numbers don’t”. With that being said I will stop arguing Kobe’s case until he has the numbers and agree that Mike remains on top of the food chain in the NBA. The most amazing part of Jordan’s legacy is what he’s done for shoes. When he wore his first sneaker designed by Peter Moore (red & black Jordan 1′s) they were banned by NBA officials because of NBA color rules which gave the shoes more media attention. Since Mike has made it to the Hall of Fame there have been several top ten list (favorite moments, favorite shoes, greatest shots etc…). The “official” top ten sneaker list is pretty dope, I can’t deny that, but I was shocked when my two favorite pair, the spike lee mikes & the red and black IV’s, didn’t make the list.

Ok sneaker heads, this is for you. If you trying to step your game up for the fall grab a pair of these with a matching fitted. They come in 3 color ways. All 3 are a must have but at least grab one to add to the collection.
Wale pushes back album…
Via Twitter Wale announced that he’s pushing his album back TWO weeks. He has a very valid excuse. Before the release of Attention Deficit, Wale wants to hit all of his favorite cities one more time. Also headlining the tour is non other than jay-z and chicago’s own Lupe Fiasco (so of course this tour is stopping here in Chicago)! Wale also stated that he has a lot of appearances on talk shows etc… to promote so look for him on the tube.

I’m a huge fan of the local hip-hop scene! If you asked for my honest opinion on the top ten local mc’s this would be my list, in no particular order
