Quenton “Q” Cole aka Solar Five was born in San Antonio Texas and moved to Chicago when he was 7. He’s been writing Rhymes since about that age also. He started off as a spoken words artist but as he got older and was introduced to a side of hip hop unseen from pop culture he set his mind on becoming an emcee. This was around the age of 11 and since then he has been writing and recording. Now at 21 he’s trying to pursue rap as a career. After dropping the StreetLogik Ressurection vol. 1 mixtape, followed by Chi city blues, there has been a slight buzz for Solar Five. As one of two remaining original members of StreetLogik he offers a more gritty side of hip-hop.
If anything, Solar Five is a highly entertaining rapper. Though at times his flow seems to be a bit repetitive his song concepts get so intricate that it’s worth the listen. His latest work, The Phoenix is an 8 track EP of his more mellow side. Check it out!
